FAQs
How long does the glove break-in process take?
Our standard turnaround time is typically 1–2 weeks from the day we receive your glove. We’ll keep you updated throughout the process and notify you when it ships back.
Do you customize the break-in for different positions?
Yes! Infielders, outfielders, pitchers, and catchers all need different pocket depths and glove shapes. We tailor the break-in process based on your position and preferences.
Will breaking in my glove shorten its lifespan?
Not at all — in fact, proper break-in with conditioning actually helps extend the life of your glove by keeping the leather soft and preventing cracking.
Can you break in any type or brand of glove?
Absolutely. We work with all major brands and glove types, including baseball and softball models. Whether it’s new out of the box or just needs extra shaping, we can handle it.
How do I send in my glove?
After placing your order, simply package your glove securely and ship it to our shop using the instructions provided. Once complete, we’ll mail it back game-ready.
How much does the glove break-in service cost?
Our pricing is listed on the product page and varies depending on the level of break-in requested. Standard break-in covers most players’ needs, while premium options may include custom shaping or expedited turnaround.
Should I add shipping insurance when mailing in my glove?
We strongly recommend adding insurance if your glove is high-value or custom. While it’s rare for packages to be lost or damaged, shipping insurance ensures you’re covered in case of carrier issues.
My glove is extremely stiff — can you still break it in?
Yes! In fact, the stiffer the glove, the more value you’ll see from professional break-in. Whether it’s fresh out of the box or a premium pro model that needs extra attention, we’ll soften and shape it to game-ready condition.
Can you break in an older glove that’s already been used?
Definitely. Some gloves need a refresh to regain flexibility, restore pocket shape, or extend their lifespan. Our conditioning process can breathe new life into a glove that’s been sitting unused or has lost its form.
How do I know the glove will fit my player’s position and preference?
When placing your order, you’ll have the chance to share position details (infield, outfield, catcher, pitcher) and any personal preferences for pocket depth, stiffness, or feel. Our technicians break in each glove by hand with those details in mind.
